News » Nearly three dozen apply to be Neenah police chief
Jan. 27, 2009 There are 32 candidates to become Neenah's next police chief. James Prosser is the chair of the city's police commission, and he says members will review the applications and narrow the field before bringing in candidates for interviews.
Prosser says the commission doesn't have a timeline in place for picking the new chief.
Of the 32 candidates, three are members of the Neenah department. Twelve are current or former chiefs in Wisconsin, and the majority of the applicants are from the Midwest.
The commission is looking for a replacement for Chief Ray Appel, who is retiring June 30. |
