Sparty handles Bucky (2/16/12 - 8:00pm)

The #15 Wisconsin Men's dream of another Big Ten Hoops title took a major blow Thursday night as they went to East Lansing and lost 69-55 to #7 Michigan State. The Badgers drop to 8-5 in the Big Ten which is 2-games behind Michigan State and Ohio State for 1st place with 5-games to go.

A slow start and poor shooting did the Badgers in. Wisconsin trailed 31-19 at the half and never got it closer than 9 in the 2nd half. Ryan Evans had 17-points and 7-rebounds to lead the Badgers. Jordan Taylor had a tough night from the floor shooting just 3 of 13 from the field and 1 of 6 from downtown as he added 13-points. As a team, Wisconsin shot just 34% from the field and under 21% from downtown. Draymond Green and Keith Appling each had 20-points to lead Michigan State.

Wisconsin (19-7) returns to the Kohl Center Sunday for a visit from Penn State. It will be there first home game since Ohio State came to Madison February 4th.

Badgers rise in this weeks polls (2/13/12 - 1:00pm)

The Wisconsin Men's Basketball Team continues to assend in the polls. After taking care of their only game last week, an overtime win in Minnesota, the Badgers moved from 21 to 15 in the AP and 22 to 17 in the latest coaches rankings.

After a 1-3 start in Big Ten play, Wisconsin dropped out of the polls a few weeks back after being as high as #7. Since that start, the Badgers have climbed to 8-4 in the Big Ten and control their own shot at a conference title. The Badgers sit a game behind both #7 Michigan State and #6 Ohio State in the Big Ten with games verse each team remaining in thier final 6-games of the season. Michigan State is next on the Schedule Thursday night in East Lansing.
